Losing Weight After First Pregnancy

1. Do not take juices, hard drinks and sweet drinks. A couple of cans of cola add up to a pound to your weight. Also sweet juices are no good to lose weight. Replace these with water which will not only keep you hydrated but will also help you lose weight at a quicker pace.
2. Do not eat junk food. Instead take healthy snacks like trail mix, raisins, sliced fruit, whole grain crackers low fat cheese or sliced vegetable salad.
3. Aim your goals: An average mother's weight increases by 30 pounds during pregnancy. 10 pounds of it is lost during childbirth. The rest of the 20 pounds have to be lost. But you should lose it slowly. Losing it quickly is unhealthy.
4. Mild Exercise: Exercise should be mild and on the advice of your doctor. You can start walking alone for 10-20 minutes and then with your baby.
A good diet plan along with regular exercise can help you lose weight fast after pregnancy and help stay slim forever. You should avoid the intake of the fattening foods. You need a good diet plan but you should not cut down the intake of key nutrients because you have to breast feed the baby.
